Can a heat pump handle Genesee winters?
Paired with a furnace, yes. The heat pump carries the sunny days and the furnace takes the deep cold. Standalone, we’d want to see the load calculation first.
Does a furnace need different setup at 7,000 feet?
Yes. Thinner air changes how gas burns, so the furnace has to be calibrated for the pressure and oxygen at your elevation. We set every unit up for exactly where it lives.
Do you go up Lookout Mountain and Genesee?
Yes. Plan on 30 to 40 minutes from our shop.
Are heat pumps a good idea in the foothills?
Paired with a furnace, yes. The heat pump covers most days and the furnace takes the coldest nights.
