What these terms cover

This website, the booking form, calls and texts started from it, and the service visits that follow. Work at your home is also covered by the written estimate or invoice you sign, which controls if it says something different from this page.

Service requests and booking

• Submitting the form or calling is a request, not a confirmed appointment. An appointment exists when our dispatcher confirms a date and window with you.
• You agree that the information you give us is accurate and that you are an adult who owns the property or is authorized to arrange work on it.
• We may decline a request, for example if the address is outside our service area or the work is outside our license.
• You may cancel or reschedule any time before the technician is dispatched at no charge. If a technician has already been dispatched, the $99 diagnostic fee may apply.

Prices, estimates, and payment

• Published prices on this site ($99 seasonal tune-up, $99 emergency diagnostic, $99 indoor air quality assessment) are per system at a single address in our service area. They may change; the price we confirm when we book you is the price you pay.
• The $99 diagnostic covers the trip and a full diagnosis. If you approve the repair, it is credited toward it. If you decline, you owe only the $99.
• All other work is quoted in writing before it starts. The written price is the final price unless you ask us to do additional work, which is quoted separately and approved by you first.
• Written estimates for new equipment are valid for 30 days. Rebate and tax-credit amounts are set by Xcel Energy and the State of Colorado and may change; we apply whatever is current when the work is completed.
• Payment is due when the work is completed unless a financing agreement or written schedule says otherwise. We accept Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle, Venmo, and financing through our lending partner, subject to their approval and terms.
• Late balances may carry interest at 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by Colorado law, whichever is less, plus reasonable collection costs.

Doing the work

• We pull permits and schedule inspections for every installation that requires them.
• You agree to give us safe access to the equipment and to tell us about known hazards (asbestos, animals, unstable structures).
• We use boot covers and drop cloths and clean up after ourselves. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, or for damage caused by hidden conditions we could not reasonably see.
• Replaced parts and equipment become our property unless you ask to keep them before the work starts.
• Our technicians are licensed, insured, and background-checked employees or contractors of Duality. Please do not offer them side work.

Warranties

• Our labor: repairs carry a one-year labor warranty; installations carry a two-year labor warranty, from the date of completion, when the equipment is used normally and maintained as the manufacturer recommends.
• Parts and equipment: covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, which we register for you. Manufacturer warranties usually require documented annual maintenance; our Comfort Plan satisfies that.
• Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, neglect, power surges, floods, work by others, or failure to maintain the system.

Using this website

• The site is for arranging residential HVAC service in the Denver metro. Do not use it to send spam, false requests, or automated traffic, or to probe or attack it.
• Content on the site (text, photos, the Duality name and logo) belongs to Duality or its licensors. You may share links freely and quote short passages with attribution. Do not copy pages, the logo, or the booking form for another business.
• Prices, rebate figures, and articles are provided for general information. Equipment advice in articles is general; your home may differ, and the written estimate controls.
• Links to other sites (Google, Xcel Energy, our lender) are provided for convenience and are governed by those sites’ own terms.

Reviews and content

Reviews shown on this site are public Google reviews written by customers, reproduced with light trimming for length and linked to the source. If you wrote a review and want it removed from this site, email us and we will take it down within five business days.

Limits of liability

We stand behind our work under the warranties above. Beyond that, and to the extent Colorado law allows, Duality is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example, spoiled food, lost income, or hotel costs) arising from equipment failure, scheduling, or use of this site, and our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. Nothing here limits liability for our negligence causing personal injury, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit.

Colorado law and disputes

These terms are governed by Colorado law. If something goes wrong, call us first; we fix most problems with a conversation and a return visit. Disputes that cannot be resolved that way are heard in the state courts of Arapahoe County, Colorado, or small-claims court where eligible.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and changes apply to requests made after that date. Work already quoted stays under the terms in effect when it was quoted.
